Ihmiskunnan historia tietää kertoa monesta suurvallasta ja monista johtajista, jotka pyrkivät olemaan oman aikansa maailman valtiaita. On ollut Meedo-Persialainen suurvalta, Syyrian suurvalta, kreikkalainen suurvalta ja Jeesuksen syntymän aikoihin Rooman keisari yritti olla koko maailman valtias. Käytännössä nämä suurvaltapyrkimykset ovat merkinneet sotia sotien perään, pienten kansojen oikeuksien riistämistä ja veri on virrannut kaikkialla.
     Kuningas Herodes on Raamatun lehdiltä kaikille tuttu. Hän on ollut yksi maailman historian julmimmista ja verisimmistä kuninkaista, joka järjesti verilöylyn toisensa perään vain päästäkseen Rooman keisarin suosioon ja sen myötä Palestiinan vasallikuninkaaksi. Savusti Galilean vuoriston luolissa lymyäviä pakolaisia ja tappoi heitä perhekunnittain, tuhosi valtaistuimelle noustakseen Baaban mahtavan hallitsijasuvun viimeiseen mieheen ja siinä sivussa toimeenpani Raamatussa kerrotun Beetlehemin lastenmurhat. Vain muutamia esimerkkejä mainitakseni. Rooman keisarille tehtiin jatkuvasti valituksia Herodeksen hirmutöistä, mutta maailman valtiaan harhakuvissaan elävää keisaria eivät vähäisen Palestiinan hirmutyöt ja ihmisoikeusrikkomukset kiinnostaneet.
     Käytännössä tämä merkitsi sitä, että silloinen Palestiina oli kirjaimellisestikin "kuoleman varjon maata" ja ihmiset olivat perin juurin väsyneitä jatkuviin verilöylyihin ja hirmutöihin. Näissä oloissa Jeesus lähti saarnaamaan täysin uutta tietä paremman maailmanajan rakentamiseksi. Vuorisaarnassaan Jeesus opettaa: "Rakastakaa vihollisianne ja siunatkaa niitä, jotka teitä vainoavat…" "Autuaita ovat rauhantekijät" jne. Eli että. Sodat eivät lopu sotimalla, riidat riitelemällä eikä verityöt uusilla ja vieläkin verisimmillä hirmuteoilla, ja että pysyvän rauhan lähtökohtana pitää olla muu kuin asemahdit, toisten kansojen alistaminen ja kauhun tasapaino.
     Onnistuakseen tämä vaatii käytännössä puolestaan sen, että ihmisten silmien on avauduttava sokeudestaan näkemään ja ymmärtämään sotien ja kärsimysten perimmäiset syyt. On lakattava nöyristelemästä tämän maailman valtiaiksi pyrkivien tyrannien edessä ja on lakattava toimimasta näiden tyrannien suuruudenhullujen tavoitteiden käsikassarana ja tunnustettava Herraksi ja Valtiaaksi ainut todellinen Rauhanruhtinas - Kristus. Ei siis enää "Kyrios Ceasar" vaan "Kyrios Kristus".
The history of mankind knows to tell about many superpowers and many leaders, which try to be masters of the world of its own time. Meedo-Persian a superpower has been, Syria's superpower, Greek superpower and the emperor of Rome tried to be the master of the whole world at the times of Jesus' birth. In practice these superpower aims have meant, to make a war behind the wars as well as the deprivation of the rights of small nations. And the blood have flowed everywhere.
     King Herod is familiar to us onto all from the pages of the Bible. He has been one of the history's cruellest and bloodiest kings, which arranged a massacre each other after in order to achieve a popularity of the emperor of Rome, and with it vassal king of Palestine. He smoked out of the mountains of the Galilea in the caves refugees from the hiding place and them whole families killed. He destroyed Baaban a powerful ruling family's to the last man, onto the throne in order to rise to, and in that page it carried out the children's murders in Bethlehem, from which has been told in the Bible. My mention only a few examples. The wars do not end by making a war, the quarrels do not end by quarrelling and blood jobs do not end by on new and bloodiest atrocities; and that as starting point for the permanent peace the starting point must be other than weapon powers, peoples of the second subjecting and balance of the horror.
     In order to succeed, this requires in practice a fact that the people's eyes must open from their blindness to see and to understand the fundamental reasons for the wars and sufferings. The people must cease toadying in front of the tyrants who attempt to be the masters of this world and peoples must cease functioning as a tool of these tyrants' megalomaniac objectives and to be confessed the only real prince of the peace - Christ the Lord and the Ruler. So any more not "Kyrios Ceasar" but "Kyrios Christ ".

Näiden suuruudenhullujen sotapyrkimysten rinnalla toinen yhtä tuhoisa ja suunnattomia kärsimyksiä aiheuttava tekijä on ihmisen itsekkyys, oman edun tavoittelu ja mammonan palvonta sekä näitä seuraava sorto ja riisto.
     Jokainen meistä ymmärtää sen, että ahkeruudella ja rehellisellä työllä voi saavuttaa korkeintaan riittävän toimeentulon ja tämän kaiketi pitäisi riittää kaikille - olipa kysymyksessä sitten käden tai hengen työ. Nyt jos tästä lähdetään tavoittelemaan maallista rikkautta ja loistoa, ollaan ahneuden ja mammonan jumaloinnin tiellä, pyrkimyksenä rikastua toisten kustannuksella. Ja kuitenkin tämä rikkauden viettelys on ollut ihmiskunnan kirouksena kautta aikain.
     Tämän maailman rikkaille Jeesuksella oli suorat sanat sanottavana: "Helpompi on kamelin käydä neulansilmän läpi kuin rikkaan päästä taivasten valtakuntaan". Samoin eräs rikas nuorukainen tuli kysymään tietä iankaikkiseen autuuteen. Hänelle Jeesuksella oli yksinkertainen ohje tarjottavana: "Jos tahdot olla täydellinen, niin mene, myy, mitä sinulla on, ja anna köyhille, niin sinulla on oleva aarre taivaissa; ja tule ja seuraa minua." Niin ikään Jeesuksen sanat: "Sillä mitä se hyödyttää ihmistä, vaikka hän voittaisi omaksensa koko maailman, mutta saisi sielullensa vahingon? Taikka mitä voi ihminen antaa sielunsa lunnaiksi?" ja "Autuaampi on antaa kuin ottaa", kuvastavat selkeästi Jeesuksen suhtautumista tämän maailman rikkauksiin ja ihmisen itsekkyyteen. "Joka teistä tahtoo olla suurin, se olkoon kaikkien palvelija".

     Jesus said the direct words to this world's rich ones: " It is easier for the camel to go through the eye of a needle than after rich, to the country of skies, " . Likewise a rich young man came to ask for the road to the everlasting blessedness. Jesus offered a simple instruction: " If you want to be perfect, then go, sell, what you have and give onto the poor, so you have treasure in the skies; and come and follow me." Likewise Jesus's words: " Because what it benefits the human being even if he one would get his own the whole world's, but one could get the damage to own soul? Or what can the human being give as the ransoms of his soul?" And: "Giving is more blessed as taking". These words reflect Jesus's attitude to the wealth of this world and to the selfishness of the human being clearly. "Which wants to be biggest person, its must be everybody's servant ".

Nämä Jeesuksen opetukset olivat kuin parasta palsamia hirmutöiden ja sorron sisäisesti rikki repimien ihmisten sieluille ja viestiä kokonaan uuden ajan ja uuden arvomaailman koittamisesta. Ihmisen arvo ei ollut enää riippuvainen maallisesta mammonasta, ei titteleistä eikä tämän maailman keisarien tai vallanpitäjien mielisuosiosta. Ihmisen arvo kytkeytyi Jumalan lapseuteen ja sitä seuraaviin laupeudentöihin, hyvyyden ja rakkauden tekoihin sekä oikeamielisyyteen. Niinpä Jeesuksen seuraajiksi tunnustautuneiden muodostamat alkuseurakunnat olivat todellisia veljeyden, tasavertaisuuden ja rakkauden tyyssijoja; maanpäällisiä paratiiseja pienoiskoossa: "Ja uskovaisten suuressa joukossa oli yksi sydän ja yksi sielu; eikä kenkään heistä sanonut omaksensa mitään siitä, mitä hänellä oli, vaan kaikki oli heillä yhteistä."

Tunnusomaista juutalaisessa ajattelussa oli ollut jo parin vuosituhannen ajan se, että Israelin heimo, josta juutalaiset olivat enää jäljellä, oli Jumalan ainut valittu kansa maan päällä ja kaikki muut alempiarvoisia pakanoita.
     Voi olla, että näin on Aabrahamille annetun lupauksen vuoksi joskus ollutkin. Kuitenkin Jeesuksen kuolema, ylösnousemus ja Pyhän Hengen aikakauden alkaminen merkitsivät vanhan lakiliiton päättymistä ja sen myötä myös maalliset rajat omaava Israel menetti erityisasemansa Jumalan silmissä. Jeesus oli purkanut erottavan väliseinän Jumalan ja ihmisen väliltä ja samalla yhdistänyt yhdeksi kaiken, mitä on taivaassa ja mitä on maan päällä. Niinpä ei ollut enää ylempiarvoisia juutalaisia eikä alempiarvoisia pakanoita, vaan jokaisessa kansassa se, joka ahkeroi vanhurskauden tiellä, oli Jumalan lapsi, hengellisen Israelin kansalainen ja iankaikkisen elämän perillinen. Riippumatta siitä, mihin maailmankolkkaan hän oli syntynyt ja missä elänyt.

So there were not higher honoured Jews nor lower heathens any more, but in every the peoples the one which was on the way towards righteousness was the child of God, citizen of spiritual Israel and heir of the everlasting life. Irrespective was from it where in world corner he had been born and where had lived.

Tämä oli siis pakanain apostoliksi kutsutun Paavalin julistus silloisen Välimeren alueen kansoille ja sen myötä kaikkialle maailmaan. Että ihmisellä oli mahdollisuus löytää uudelleen kadonnut yhteys elävään Jumalaan, hänen voimaansa, viisauteensa ja johdatukseensa pelastukseksi yksilölle, ihmiskunnalle ja koko luomakunnalle. Eli ihmisen voi sisäisen muutosprosessin kautta syntyä uudelleen Jumalan lapseuteen, joka uudestisyntyminen voi tapahtua Paavalin julistaman evankeliumin, Jumalan Sanan, kautta. Ja näin myös tapahtui. Kaikkialla, missä Paavali seuralaisineen liikkui, löytyi vastaanottavaisia sydämiä ja uusi elämä virisi ja seurakuntia muodostui lukuisille paikkakunnille Kreikan ja nykyisen Turkin alueille.
This has been the proclamation of the heathens' apostle, Paavali, to the peoples of the Mediterranean and into the entire world. Kuitenkin tämä evankeliumin ilosanoma ja ensirakkauden tuli vähitellen hiipui hiipumistaan ja lopullisen kuoliniskun kristinuskon alkuperäiselle tarkoitukselle antoi Rooman keisari Konstantinus I:n, joka 300-luvulla laati lain, jonka mukaan kaikkien oli Rooman maailmanvallan alueella tunnustettava sitä uskoa, jota Rooman piispa opetti. Käytännössä tämä merkitsi uskontopakkoa ja valtiokirkkojärjestelmän syntyä. Samalla tämä loi pohjan paavin hirmuhallinnolle inkvisitioineen ja hirmutöineen. Eli nyt myös kristinusko sortui siihen, josta Jeesus oli tullut ihmistä ja koko ihmiskuntaa vapauttamaan.
     Niin ikään tämä muuttunut tilanne merkitsi myös sitä, että elävä ja voimallinen evankeliumin sana vaimeni lopullisesti ja alkoi ristiretkien ja miekkalähetyksen aika, jollaisena kristinusko tuotiin myös Suomeen. Kerrotaan, että Helsingin Kirkkojärven rannalla olivat miekkamiehet pappien apuna listimässä niiden päitä, jotka eivät olleet antaneet kastaa itseään kristinuskoon. Nyt jokainen asioista perillä oleva ymmärtää, ettei tällä menolla saada mitään hyvää aikaan. Yksikään sielu ei tällä menolla synny uudesti ja kaikki on vain nimellistä kristillisyyttä ilman Jumalan lapseutta ja Jumalan johdatusta ja tällaista kotoinen kristillisyys on pääosin ollut niin katolisena kuin protestanttisenakin aikana. Esimerkkinä vaikkapa noitaroviot, jotka roihusivat Ruotsi-Suomessa vielä parisataa vuotta senkin jälkeen kun kuningas Kustaa Vaasa ja sen myötä Ruotsi-Suomi oli kääntynyt protestanttiseen uskoon.
